DHI Hair Transplant

A hair transplant is a surgical procedure in which hair is removed from one area of the scalp and transplanted into another area. The most common type of hair transplant is called ‘follicular unit transplantation’ or ‘FUT’. This involves removing a strip of skin from the back of the head and then dissecting it into individual follicular units, which are then transplanted to the desired area.

Direct hair implantation, or ‘DHI’, is a newer technique that offers a number of advantages over FUT. In DHI, the follicular units are extracted one by one using a special micropunch. They are then transplanted to the desired area using a special implanter. This technique is less invasive and results in quicker healing time. It also offers a higher success rate and better cosmetic results.

If you are considering a hair transplant, it is important to consult with a qualified surgeon to discuss which technique is right for you.
